School Support Services provides teacher support and guidance by facilitating teacher development programmes in schools throughout the Waikato, Hauraki, Coromandel, King Country, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Wairoa and East Coast Regions.  School Support Services are part of the services offered by the University of Waikato, School of Education.

Advisers are located in four main centres in Hamilton, at the School of Education and the University Lodge, Tauranga, Rotorua and Gisborne with Education Resource Centres located in Hamilton, Tauranga and Gisborne. Reading Recovery Advisers, as part of School Support Services, are based in Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua and Gisborne schools.
