He hōtaka Pae Rua tēnei hei whakangungu kaiwhakaako e whakaako ana ki ā tātou tamariki mā te reo Māori. He hōtaka hei whakapakari ake i āu akoranga i tō tohu mātauranga me āu mahi whakaako i mua i te aroaro o ā tātou tamariki. He huarahi anō hoki tēnei ki te whai i tō tohu Pae Rua o te mātauranga (MEd).

 

KAUPAPA

Ka aro ngā akoranga ki ngā whakahaeretanga akomanga me ngā tūmomo huarahi whakaako ki ā tātou tamariki e ako ana mā te reo. Ka rangahauhia, ka arohaehaehia ngā ariā me ngā tūmahi o te whakaako reo me ōna piringa ki te whakaoratanga reo i roto i te akomanga, ki tāwāhi hoki.

Mehemea ka uru mai koe ki roto i te hōtaka nei ka taea e koe te tono mō te pūtea tautoko o te Tāhūhū.

Ngā paearu hei whakauru: Entry requirements are:

  • Kei runga noa atu ngā taumata ngaiotanga hei whakaako mā te reo: proficiency in teaching children and young people in te reo Māori
  • Kei a koe te ihi me te wehi ki te whakaorahia tō tātou reo: a commitment to the revitalisation of the Māori language
  • Kia toru tau roa ake te wā e whakaako ana: a minimum of three years teaching experience
  • He tohu Pae Tahi he tohu ōrite rānei tāu ā tae te eke i ngā mahi o te tohu pae rua; a bachelors degree, or adequate training, experience and the ability to proceed with postgraduate study.

Study Award

Applicants may be eligible for a Ministry of Education Māori Medium/Bilingual Education Study Award.  This award enables teachers to retain their teaching salary during the duration (32 weeks) of their study. Please ask for the appropriate application form when applying for this programme. The application form for the Ministry of Education Study Award is attached below.
