Debra Myhill is Professor of Education at the University of Exeter and course leader for PGCE Secondary English.

Her research interests focus principally on aspects of language and literacy teaching, particularly writing, grammar, underachievement, and talk in the classroom.

She is the author of numerous articles and the following books:
