Jeff Anderson has been teaching for over 20 years. Currently, he teaches workshops on integrating grammar and editing instruction into writing process and writing workshop.

Jeff specialises in working with diverse populations and inspiring them to write.

He has authored articles in NCTE’s Voices from the Middle, English Journal, and ASCD’s Educational Leadership.

Jeff has published four books on teaching grammar and mechanics in context, Mechanically Inclined: Building Grammar, Usage, and Style Into Writer’s Workshop and Everyday Editing: Inviting Students to Develop Skill and Craft in Writer's Workshop for Stenhouse publishers. Jeff is the lead author with Kelly Gallagher of Writing Coach (Pearson Prentice Hall, 2011). and his new book Ten Things Every Writer Needs to Know will be released in November of 2011.

He also has three staff development DVDs filmed in his classroom in San Antonio, Texas.

A frequent presenter at national and state conferences, Jeff likes keeping his feet firmly planted in day-to-day classroom practice.
