Patricia Bills

Patricia Bills is a Faculty Specialist in the English Department at Western Michigan University where she teaches writing methods and is a Co-Director of the Third Coast Writing Project.

Bills also co-directed her local New Teacher Initiative, a National Writing Project-sponsored professional development program for new teachers in urban schools.

She taught elementary students for thirteen lucky years, a majority of the time at Washington Writers’ Academy, an award-winning urban magnet school for writing in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
