Jackie Manuel

The focus of Jackie's work in the Faculty is teaching, research and scholarship in the field of Secondary English Education.

She has a particular research focus on adolescent reading and the early career experiences of teachers of English. In addition to teaching in the Faculty, she works in a range of ways with the teaching profession. She is committed to the advancement of public education and excellence in the teaching of subject English in Australian schools.

Jackie has been a Member of the New South Wales Board of Studies Higher School Certificate English Examination Committee (Standard and Advanced) since 2003.
