Dr Wendy Morgan was until her retirement in 2007 a senior lecturer in Cultural and Language Studies in Education at Queensland University of Technology.

Wendy’s research and writing have always built on her commitment to making literary and critical theory practicable in English classrooms. This resulted in her book, Critical Literacy in the Classroom: The Art of the Possible (Routledge, 1997) and (with Ray Misson) Critical Literacy and the Aesthetic: Transforming the English classroom (NCTE, 2006).

Wendy has given numerous keynote addresses and workshops at international and national conferences of English teachers on critical literacy, information and communications technologies and new forms of textual practice.
