Anne Turvey

Anne Turvey is a lecturer in education at the Institute of Education in London. She is Chair of the London Association for the Teaching of English (LATE) and a member of the National Association for the Teaching of English (NATE) Initial Teacher Education committee. Anne has been a tutor on the Institute’s PGCE course since 1989, after teaching for many years in a London secondary school. She has published on the development of English subject knowledge and the place of writing in the early years of teaching. Most recently, with John Yandell, she has contributed to a book on the teaching of literature in a range of settings around the world.
