Teresa Oteiza

Teresa Oteíza is an Associate Professor of Linguistics at the Universidad de Concepción de Chile.

She recently published the book El discurso pedagógico de la historia. Un análisis lingüístico sobre la construcción ideológica de la historia de Chile (1970-2001) in which she analyses the ideological representation of contemporary Chilean history in textbooks.

Her interests include Systemic Functional Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis and Critical Literacy. Her articles have appeared in journals such as Discourse & Society and Estudios Filológicos.
