Kerryn Dixon heads the Foundation Phase Division (K-3) in the School of Education at the University of the Witwatersrand.

She has a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Her teaching and research are in the area of literacies particularly early childhood literacy, language policy, sociolinguistics and research methodology.
