Eileen Scheckle

Eileen Scheckle currently teaches in the Applied Languages Department at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth.

She has presented papers at TESOL and BAAL on computer s in language learning and video in the EFL classroom.

She is interested in literacy research with a special interest in how school children develop reading identities in disadvantaged South African schools. She is a co-author of The Communication Handbook by S Cleary.
