Carmen Kynard is an assistant professor in the English Department at St. John’s University where she is also the director of first year writing with the Institute for Writing Studies.
She has published chapters in Genre across the curriculum (edited by Herrington and Moran, 2005); Teaching English today: Advocating change in the secondary curriculum (edited by Barrell, Mayher and Hammett, 2004); Alt Dis: Alternative discourse and the academy (edited by Schroeder, Fox and Bizzell, 2002); articles in Changing English, Teaching English at the Two-Year College, College English, Computers and Composition and Reading Research Quarterly; with forthcoming works in College Composition and Communication and Souls. |
