Caryn King

Caryn M. King is a professor of literacy studies at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) where she has taught since 1991. "In 2009, she became the Associate Dean for Assessment and Accreditation, College of Education, GVSU."

Prior to her career at GVSU, Dr. King received a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh where she studied with Charles Perfetti, Isabel Beck, and Rita Bean. Her degree in Humanities Education consisted of coursework and experiences in both cognitive psychology and literacy education.
