Becky worked as a Secondary Media and English teacher and then as Education Manager at the Showroom cinema, Sheffield, where she established a range of projects including children’s film festival Showcomotion, www.showcomotion.org.uk. Becky went on to set up Cube, www.cubeweb.org.uk, a practical media production and journalism project for young people aged 14-19 in Sheffield. Becky is currently in the final year of an ESRC funded PhD, supervised by Jackie Marsh and Julia Davies at the University of Sheffield, researching the impact of children’s engagements with children’s film on their understandings of narrative. | ||||
