Lyn teaches literacy and English Curriculum courses in the under-graduate and post-graduate programs for primary and middle years pre-service teachers.
She is currently completing her doctoral study 'literacy teachers at work in an environmental communications project.'My study draws on feminist poststructuralist and place theory to explore the relation between place/space and identity and how that relation is represented in teachers' histories, biographies and pedagogies. I am also interested in the ways in which the teachers in my study speak about their multiple selves-teachers, farmers, locals, environmental activists-and how these identities work with and against each other at different moments. |
