Grace Enriquez is an Assistant Professor of Language and Literacy at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She holds a doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University. An advocate for urban education, as well as a former literacy staff developer and language arts and reading teacher, she has worked with teachers throughout the East Coast of the US. Grace’s teaching and scholarship centers on the multiple and complex ways students and teachers respond to reading and writing in schools, with particular interests in critical literacy instruction, children’s and young adult literature, intersections of literacy and identity, and literacy performances.
