Icy Lee

Icy Lee is a professor in the Faculty of Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has published extensively in the field of second language writing. Her publications have appeared in Journal of Second Language Writing, Language Teaching, ELT Journal, The Canadian Modern Language Review, English in Australia, System and other journals. Her article "Understanding teachers’ written feedback practices in Hong Kong secondary classrooms" won the 2008 Journal of Second Language Writing Best Paper Award. She was a recipient of the 1999 TESOL Award for Excellence in the Development of Pedagogical Materials and the 2010 TESOL Award for Excellence in Teaching. She served as President of Hong Kong Association for Applied Linguistics in 2008-2010 and is currently Past-chair of the NNEST (Nonnative English-speaking Teachers in TESOL) Interest Section of TESOL International Association.
