Carol Gilles

Dr Carol Gilles is an Associate Professor of Reading/Language Arts at the University of Missouri, Columbia, where she teaches undergraduate courses in middle level language arts and graduate courses in literacy. She is also the Faculty Coordinator for the Teaching Fellowship program, a select teacher induction program. Her research interests are oracy (talk) and literacy across the disciplines and children's and young adult literature. She has written three books on talk and literacy and many book chapters and articles.
