Pip Kelly is a passionate secondary school teacher, geographer and mother of two. She teaches the high school class at the Warralong campus of Strelley Community School in remote Western Australia. Strelley Community School is the oldest continually operational Aboriginal Independent School in Australia and has been open since 1976. Pip is very interested in empowering her students to make meaning of the spaces they inhabit and to position them as holders of knowledge and to be powerful storytellers. She enjoys using video and other forms of ICT in her work. Pip has contributed to various publications including a chapter in a geography text book, numerous education kits for Melbourne Museum and most recently a book Danny's WA Water source Adventure (2013) written and illustrated by the high school class and published by the Western Australian Water Corporation.
