Mary Kooy

Mary Kooy is a professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on teacher learning and development. Currently, she is conducting a study with two transnational K-12 teacher cohorts from Canada and the US who meet in summer institutes (face-to-face), in monthly online meetings, and on a Virtual PLC to collaboratively construct new knowledge for site-based inquiries into teaching and learning. Her research has been published widely. She teaches in Graduate Studies in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Department at OISE. Her courses include courses on learning communities, teacher induction, curriculum innovation and improving teaching.
