Ian Hardy

Dr Ian Hardy is Senior Lecturer, School of Education, University of Queensland. Dr Hardy researches and teaches educational policy and practice, with a particular focus upon teachers' learning. He is author of The politics of teacher professional development: Policy, research and practice (New York: Routledge, 2012).He is a member of the international Pedagogy Education and Praxis research network. Recently he has co-authored the text Changing Practices, Changing Education (2014) with Stephen Kemmis, Jane Wilkinson, Christine Edwards-Groves, Peter Grootenboer and Laurette Bristol. Dr Hardy has also published more than 30 chapters and articles, including as lead or sole author in leading North American (Educational Theory; Teaching Education; Journal of Curriculum Studies; Canadian Journal of Education; International Journal of Leadership in Education) English (Journal of Education Policy; British Journal of Sociology of Education; Cambridge Journal of Education; Studies in Higher Education; International Journal of Inclusive Education), and Asian-Pacific journals (Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education; Discourse: Studies in the Cultural Politics of Education; Australian Educational Researcher; Critical Studies in Education; International Journal for Academic Development).
