Margaret Hagood

Margaret C. Hagood is an assistant professor of literacy at the College of Charleston. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood, elementary, and middle grade literacies, focusing on new literacies, pop culture, and digital technologies relevant to life in the 21st century.

Her research and teaching interests include examinations of readers’ uses of media and popular culture to construct notions of themselves and others in both formal and informal learning contexts.
